I don´t know when this bug appeared. Just recently I had a user registering using a name with 20 characters. His registration went fine, although trying to send him a PM, one will receive an error because the username is too long. ( I think there is a limit of 15 characters).
 
I´m on version 9.03, sorry I just havn´t had time to upgrade. Just read the version history, and didn´t see this mentioned in it.

Just checked the version history and this was fixed in 9.05

5. pm_new_message.asp - increased the size of the allowed username field
6. pm_new_message_from.asp - same as above

This was also fixed or the buddy list in the same version.

Hmm must have missed it in the version history.
 
I´m about to opgrade to 906 now. Guess I dont need to be concerned about this one at least LOL
