	Sorry if it sounds like a no brainer.. but how do you do this?

	You can do this with overlaying layers. Use the <div> or <span> tag. Search on google for more information...

	you can also set the image as the background of a table or table cell.

	Using backgrounds is easier and also better for older browsers. Layers, and DIVs can present problems in different browsers, although the new Opera and Netscape are pretty darn good. You can almost do anything with them that you can do with IE.
