make sure you are using beta4 and access 2000 version.

for uprading from beta3 i need the beta 3 mdb. I realize i don't have it anymore. for those who need beta3 to 7.01 or rc1 to 7.01 . You can email me the original mdb file and i will see what i can do.

hi liveset i believe the error is caused by a wrong datatype.

make sure the author_id is set to datatype=numbers

open the mdb file using access. open the table .

there is a triangle at the top left hand corner click that.

now the first column will display all the column titles and the 2nd column will display the data type

click the datatype and a menu (arrow down) will appear choose number

About version 6.34 to====>7.01 for SQL server 2000 ?. I need a migration tool.

I just used the ww7 Migrator tool and took a v6.34 Forum up to v7.01 without a hitch.

Of course, now I have to set all the forum permissions and groups that I want...but such is life with such a great forum app!
