Hello
I've just been introduced to your forum system and was wondering what capabilities Web Wizz has for mobile use?
Tapatalk? Forum runner?

Web Wiz has it's own "built in" Mobile Version. If you access the forum on a Mobile Device, it will automatically detect that and load up the Mobile version of the forums. The Mobile Version is a stripped down / lite version of the real forums and contains everything a mobile user would need to interact on the forums.
You also get the option to load the full normal forum version on the mobile device, if you want etc - The option is given at the footer of the page but only seen if you are on a mobile device.
I've used a lot of mobile version apps and the built in mobile version of Web Wiz is absolutely spot and never fails to work (unlike others), as it is running directly from the website.

We have received a number of requests for Tapatalk, and may look at supporting this in the future.
However, we are quite strong believers as a company that the future of most applications is building apps to run within a browser as it allows the apps to run on any platform (eg. Windows Phone, Android, Apple, Blackberry, etc.), hence why the mobile version of Web Wiz Fourms is browser based rather than using an phone app.

Thank you for that. If one sticks to standards that are cross-platform (truly cross-platform, that is) then it's less trouble and easier to maintain and troubleshoot. This is always a problem when another company comes along and won't play nicely but instead introduces their own "standards". We end up with complex security risks and having to update a multitude of apps.

I have a lot of users that use the mobile version of the forum on weekends and when they are out and about. One problem we have esp with the iPhone and iPad, is that users cannot upload images to the forum.
Is there a workaround. they are now loading on Facebook, and then linking, and it is driving traffic away from my site.

Most mobile browsers like Firefox and Opera now do support uploads from mobile devices.
Apple through with their wall garden will only allow browsers on their devices that use their AppleWebKit which currently does not support uploading.
