Hi,
 
Using the latest version of WebWiz Forum. When i create moderators and assign them certain section of the forum to moderate. As moderators, they are allowed to edit posts in this section.
 
However if the moderator wants to edit there own post in another section, there unable to.
 
Any ideas where i went wrong?

You need to give them permission to edit there own posts in other sections either through group or forum permissions.

Sorry but i'm confused, how do I do this so they can only edit there own posts in the sections there not moderating?

go to Forum Admin (for the forums and categorys)

and select the forum you want them to edit there own posts in

then select "Users can edit there own posts"

if you just want the moderators to edit there own posts and not other groups, you'll have to do it by the "Group Permissions" page

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem...i maybe missing some vital info but i can't for instance see where i can amend the permission "Users can edit there own posts"

Also, i would like Moderators to be able to edit posts but i cannot seem to find how to do that. I can only see generic permissions which are set to "registered users can edit posts" hence they users can edit their own posts.

I'm slightly confused. Sorry if i'm not being very clear...any help?

Other permssions are set from the main admin menu under group permissions.

It's ok i got it now...i needed to tick that little box that says enable Moderator functions or something to that effect.
