well.. simple question here and im a lazy ass to search google extensively..
 
i need a software which would report me abt a workstation everytime it is started / re-started.. it should be a client server like application most preferably..
 
btw im not running on a domain.. just a workgroup..

Just add a vbs file as a startup and shutdown script that updates a db or so.

Won't that depend on whether CDO or CDOSYS is installed? Aren't they only on server editions by default?

One of them comes with XP but dont ask me which.
You could extract it from the CD and register it.

I think you can use windows scripting to run outlook but I'm not to familiar with the process.
