i cant install the forum i always get

"Error Connecting to database on SQL Server"

im sure that i have set the right user, pw and database name, but i dont exactly know how to figure out the mysql server name?

what is it in fact, to write in the line "mysql server name"? :D

The forum doesn't support mySQL as mySQL OBDC driver used with ASP is not very good and mySQL lacks many of the ANSI SQL 99 standards.

Only MS Access and MS SQL server can be used with Web Wiz Forums.

Blurred, by looking at the error, it looks like you are using MS SQL Server.

No, this is a generic message that I wrote to be displayed if the SQL server can not be connected to, if like Blurred you are trying to connect to mySQL then this error message will display as it can't connect to a SQL server database of the same name.
