Congratulations on completing your app VBScript. Does it just convert Access to mySQL, or does it specifically convert WW 7.9x Access databases to WW 8.0 mySQL databases? The db schema is different in v8 isn't it?

If it just converts Access straight across to mySQL I'm afraid you may have wasted your time, there are many tools available to do that including many free mySQL admin tools such as dbmanager pro.

This app converts an MS Access databse to mySQL. Yes I may have wasted my time. But I wanted to try and make my own app.

When version 8 is close to release I will make an upgarde tool that will have the ability for the user to choose one of the following
  • Upgrade a 7.9x MS Access DB to V8 MS Access database structure
  • Upgrade a 7.9x MS Access DB to V8 mySQL database structure.
I would also give a MS SQL option but I have had problems trying to research how to do this.

Hey james,

Did you ever add that 7.9 to 8 option? Is it safe as it is? DBschema's and all.
