Topic: need list of suspended members Posted: 13 February 2012 at 7:35pm |

Is there a way to get a list of the members who have been "suspended" ??
there are some who we'd like to see if they desire to return to good standing after some changes we've made in rules and moderators, etc. I know this would include spammers, but I could filter for that probably since we make notes in their profile when we suspend them. Is there some SQL query or commend, or something in the control panel we can use??

There isn't anything in the forum I dont think. But if you are using MSSQL you should be able to use the query:
SELECT * FROM tblAuthor WHERE Suspended = 1 |
How ever, I don't know what the field name is, so you will have to change the part in red to the real field name.

It is MSSQL, so I can run a query from the control panel I believe as it's hosted here with WW. I thought I saw an area to run queries against the databases.
Thanks - that's a start anyway!

If your hosted with Web Wiz then in your hosting control panel go to the list of MSSQL databases, and click on the "Database Tools" link.
This will take you to myLittleAdmin, Once there click on the "Tools" tab then "New Query".
As I say, you will most likely need to change the red part as I cant remember the field name.

In my forum, I create a "Banned" group. Everytime I ban an user, I'm also move this user to "Banned" group. Then just go to member list, choose sort by group.

I my self dont use the "suspended" feature, I've also created a "banned" group which has no read or write permissions on any forum. I also added some code to send any user in that group to the "insufficient_permissions.asp" page. (Note: you also need to add code to the insuff. perms. page to stop a redirect loop) aladin, you can actually add the Group ID to the memberlist.asp url to select only those users. eg: https://forums.webwiz.net/members.asp?gid=3

Scotty I'm curious as to why that method instead of the suspended feature? If they wish to read, all they need to do is come back as guest. They could also still receive and send PM, right?
