Is anyone running any network monitoring solutions? If so, what? I'm looking for something preferrably Windows based/open source. With Connectivity, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, Services, Event Log, Processes, CPU, and Disk tracking.

I think I have found the solution to my problems with monitoring. Its called OpManager and is written by AdventNet Inc. (www.adventnet.com). Their pricing is very reasonable (for networking software), it has a beautiful interface and is loaded with features. Finally, anyone using it on less than 20 servers can have it for free. Just figured I'd mention it if anyone else is shopping around.

If you want to wait a while there is a unix thing called webmin which can monitor stuff (well at least the unix version can),  I believe they are working on a windows version but I dont know if it will be able to do the same, if however you have a free computer avaible you could always set up a unix server to di ti for you (use FreeBSD then you can use the ports collection, much simpler for installing stuff (normally) than .tar.gz or .rpm)

Like logging SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IM ... even from all the computers on the network at the same time. It is a sniffer, so only events on the network can be monitored.

If like to use a Unix, I will suggest Ubuntu (Linux) I think it is the best distro out there right now.
