All database connections in the forum software ARE closed and objects released.

I have spent many hours, even days, going through all the code checking this.

I would look into other things on your site, or even other sites on the server effecting the performance of your site.

Increasing the amount of memory allocation for your site may also help.

If this fails, it's time to look for a better web host as your host doesn't seem to be giving you a very good service.
