New topic problem

Please can anyone help solve the problems below?

Sometimes when you create a new topic it adds it to the end of an existing thread instead of displaying it as a new one.

Second, sometimes when you create a new topic the title is diplayed correctly but the message is blank.

Third, when you delete one of these dodgy topics it says that it was deleted in 1899.

I am using the SQL version on an Intranet server running Win2000. The database in on another SQL server.
