I've just released Web Wiz Rich Text Editor version 2.0 beta 2

You can download the new beta version at (it's the v2 beta 2 version):-

http://www.webwiz.net/asp/sample_scripts/RTE_applicati on.asp

An on-line demo version can be seen at:-

http://www.richtexteditor.org/demo/

This 2nd beta fixes a number of bugs and quirks found in beta 1 and also adds a spell checker button (using SpellBound) for Mozilla and Firefox users.

The new version should also be easier to integrate.

Big smile If anyone would like to write more comprehensive install instructions for the final version then please do and I'll include them in the final version, as good install instructions are never written well by the developer as I have to much knowledge of the system for novice users to understand what I'm on about. Thumbs Up

Sorry I don't know spanish, could you translate the error to Engliosh so I can workout what the problem is.

Also incase it is a corrupted file try reuploading.

Also make sure you have edited the file includes/RTE_setup.asp to correctly setup the upload settings (check your file upload path and component).

You also need to make sure you have write permissions on the directories you are uploading your files to.

Wow!  This is truly an impressive upgrade.  The Upload component itself is beautiful.

Say I wanted to incorporate this into WebWiz Forums, would it be easy to plug this in to my current install or will an final upgrade be released for the forums that would upgrade this version?

Sorry for the "new guy" question; I was just so happy with the new editor I had to jump the gun.

It's not easy to integrate into web wiz forums due to all the customisation, forum permissions, forum codes, ability for users to switch between different editors, etc.

It took me the best aprt of a day, so you will probally need to wait for version 8 of web wiz forums to be released.

I kinda figured that as I was looking through the .asp's.  Thanks so much for your reply and all of your hard work.
