Hey!

I'm sorry if this is answerede before - I can't really manage all the posts...

I want to make my own forum like this one.
Now I've signed up and have a user - to get my own place like this - what do I need to do?

I need to get a domain, right? Is there any demands on what domain is needed to use the forum like this one used here?

I've been a member on a site that used WebWiz as host, and this layout is exactly want I want...!

Can anyone help me?
Is it the Web Wiz Guide I download to get started? And how hard is it - I mean how much of it is complicated codes and stuff - and how much is easy to develop and be done with?

Most important - what's the price? And how do I pay?
From Scandinava.

Hope someone can be helpfull - I really want to learn this

Welcome to the forums.

First, please don’t center your text. It makes it harder to read and it takes more time to read it.

Second, you will need a host to host the forums, and the host must be windows.

Third, if you do a search on the forums, and read the documentation, you will find that all your answers have been answered, probably hundreds of times.

Forth, you can sign up for Web Wiz Host. If you sign up the forum will be installed for you so all you have to do is Administer the forums and get people to sign up.

As for the layouts you said you liked, you didn’t provide any examples so I can’t help you there.

Hey MadDog - thank you for answering me - I appriciate it :)
I'm sorry if my english is a bit bad - it's not the used language where I live... Probably also why I found it hard to overcome to begin reading all the many pages here...

I'll remember to keep the text like this.

I thought that if I just got a domain (whatever-dot-something), then I could get WebWiz as my host. I didn't know that Windows even could (or should) be the host. For that I guess I'll need to go to Microsofts homepage?

Happy to hear that if I use WebWiz - it'll come installed so theres not overwhelming amounts of codes and stuff...
The layouts I ment was exactly like this forum we are in now. The way the posts look, the options in the menu - the smileymenu and all - and the way userprofiles look...
That's why I got so exited, when I saw that this forum was identical to the one I came from (but shut down), I got the thought that we could make our own forum with the same functions, wich me miss a lot.
Didn't think it could be possible :)

I will try and read some more of the other answers - can just be hard to really understand when not used to the english language with theese technical things...

Thank you again for taking the time to answer me despite my errors, I'm really happy that you did!

You just need a host that runs Windows Server.

Ah - I see... Is it wrong to asume that host do that, I wonder...?
I guess its a question of just asking the host about it before buying.

Yes it can be.

Yesterday I had a chat with a guy who seemed to know alot about it.

He said that first I needed a domain - and then all I had to do was get at webhost.

So I guess he left out a link; that part about needing another host to have windows. I thought that the one host (like WebWiz for example) had it allready...

Hmm - now I need to figure out where to get at host with windows.

Than you for helping

Web Wiz does hosting here:
http://www.webwiz.net/

as maddog said, Web Wiz's will install the webwizforum for you.

though your free to "shop around" for other hosts - but as others said,
it needs to be a host that has "Windows Hosting"
