I think michael meant that people won't trust any old poker engine that they cannot see the source to to be non biased. As the engine already knows what cards the user has it would be very easy to rig it to coax the user into placing a large bet by making the engine loose the first 3 times, then when a larger bet is placed the engine just fakes it and takes the money.

If I went into paid games (initially it would be completely free), I would pay an independant auditor to analyse the code and issue certificates as the other ones do.
