Heya guys.. im new here so Hey! :)

I've got a problem as i updated from 7.5 to 8 -

i have several sites pointing to my forum (its alias)

both are the same forum.

but in the new forum.. when i check online users i see at one site 10 online users and in the other one 30.

so it counts it per domain.. how can i change it to check for all the domains altogather? (its the same server so i thought about application or db count)

but in the old forum i didnt had that problem so i wanted to know what changed so i will be able to fix it.

Thanks ALOT! :)
Ika.

The active users are kept in an application level array.

The only way each forum can display a different number of users is if each site is within it's own application separate from the other site.

This is done in IIS.

Usually if you set a site up simply as an aliases by default they use the same application.

You would need to go into IIS and check your settings

I haven't looked at the new application variable methods but... isn't it conceivably possible to prefix the variable array so you can share between sites? Kind of like the cookie and table prefix.

Sorry... stuck my nose in.

You can change the application variable prefix, but this is used if you are running two web wiz forums on the same site.

In this case both sites point to the exact same installation of web wiz forums so would be using the same application variable name.
