Sometimes I see ASP.NET pages with this syntax:

 
What is this? Usually, I see stuff like this in the .ashx files (web services) to call a specific function, but how does this work with regular weg pages?

It's just url rewriting nothing that exciting, do a google for "url rewriting in asp.net" and it will give you examples.
