Post via Mobile Phone

Hi all,

I was hoping someone might be able to assist, or point me in the direction of an existing script etc to use...

What I'd like to be able to do, is allow users to email (via their mobile phone), a short 'news update'.  I'd then like to be able to pull these emails from my account, and insert into a database - then show them on my website.

Basically, I'd like to achieve what Facebook do, where people can update their statuses via mobile phone.  Obviously I wouldn't have a text message number for people to use, but they'd email an address instead.

Anyone have any ideas?  It could be either in ASP or PHP - I assume PHP would be better, due to setting up a CRON job to pull the emails from an account.

On top of this, if possible, I'd like it to know who sent the message - ie, the database would have a list of names and numbers, so it can match them up.

Any help would be great!
