Hi.

Im still using v9 of wwf, but am currently looking at v10. One thing I dont like the look of or dont understand is the points system which has replaced the traditional forum post count.

Can this be changed back to the orginal system used in previous wwf versions?

It can not be changed back but Post count still remains available in the members profile.

When you upgrade to version 10 the member is given the same number of points as their post count. If you wish to have Points match the post count then you set the Points system to only apply 1 Point for New Topics and New Replies, it will then match the old Post count system.

Naturally, change doesn't look so appealing, so when this feature was introduced I didn't like it either. However, when I understood the meaning behind it I liked it very much. It's another way of expressing the forum's appreciation to its members' contributions. You get points based on your participation in other people's topics as well as your own topics... 

The # of posts is just mere statistics... but the # of points is saying thank you to the members. I got the impression that my forum members liked it.
