First off let me say I just came across WWF and so far I have been highly impressed.  People like Borg are what keep the internet going.

Anyway, that said, I have a quick question and I apologize if the issue has been raised already.  Is there a way to show what Forum a post lives in from the results list?

For example, if I search for a word I will get a bunch of results but it is impossible to determine what Forum it is in.  The reason I bring this up is because an admin may want to have a "Closed topic" forum that they can move older topics to.  Someone issuing a search query may want to know that information exists, but because it is in the "Closed Topic Forum", they would know that they probably would be better off looking at "Open Topic" forum... (unless they were really bored and had nothing better to do).

A real life situation where such functionality would come in handy is as follows:

I'm considering using the forum as a sort of knowledge base; some place that will record issues, causes, solutions, plus all that went on during the troubleshooting process.  When a solution has been found, the thread containing all the troubleshooting processes could be closed and archived, and an "official" topic could be posted with only the essential information.  This way someone doesn't have to sort through the entire troubleshooting process - all the important stuff is right there.  If they want, however, they have the option of reading the closed thread.

I am using v6.34 with a SQL backend.

Again, your work is truly remarkable Borg.

Well so far that is not a feature but it would be a good addition to version 7..... also it would be nice to be able to search by username, that way if a spammer spams the forum it'll be easier for a mod. to find all his/her posts and delete them promptly.....

You can select which forum you wish to search.

You can also search by username and get all the topics posted in by that user, just select username from the drop down list of where to search

Yes, you can indeed do both of those things (which is pretty cool), but it's not what I asked about.

Is there a way that you can make a column in the search results that displays the Forum source of a topic?

The problem with the searching is that it is slow enough as it is. I did write one version that had it catergorised by forum but it ran so slow it was like a snail with a cold.
