i got planty mods on my forum now (the access 7.5ver) and i wana change to sql 7.7ver i wanted to know if i can keep the 7.5(access) asp files and just reupload the most needed sql asp files and the sql server db .

my qustion is which asp files most stay to run the sql 7.7 ver ?

 

(btw i searched in forums with no luck)

The only thing you need to do is change the database type variable in the common.asp files and edit the SQL_server_connection.asp file found in the admin area to put in your MS SQL server details.

You will still need to download the MS SQL server version to get the MS SQL Server database setup file to create the database.

The only real problems you may encounter is that some of the mods you have installed may only run with Access so it maybe worth checking these mods are compatiable.

but i alredy got the aceess db and its size 50mb+

its ver 7.5 db . 

i can make it to SQL db in Access program but it still work with ver7.7 sql ver ?

Yes, the only thing that has changed in the SQL server version to do with the database is the stored procedures, the database structure and tables remain the same.

i dont know how to add the procedures menuly

but i know thers a file that adds the tabel / prudcers

can u plz edit it for me so it work with my old db

Just run the SQL database setup file, if a table alreay exists it will throw an error saying so, but the stored procedures will still be created.
