I know that it has been suggested to have the navigation style such as: Goto page: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 [Next >>] This is NOT what I'm suggesting. I realize that -boRg- has stated that the majority of people desired having the drop down box. Instead, I suggest the ability to quickly click to the next page something like "<< Prev Page | Next Page >>". BUT place the drop down box in between the Previous, and Next. The coding required to go forward and back pages would be extremly simple. Here's an example of what I envision.

Give up it's staying how it is and I'm not being budged on this! Having next a previous links around the drop down box will confuse new users as thay won't knwo what its about. Having page 3 of 10 is simple to understand (the 3 being in the drop down box) and won't confuse or overwhelm the user. Case studies has shown that users home in on things like drop down boxes so a user shouldn't miss it and with the present text around it they shouldn't missinterprate it for something else. If you don't like it then you are welcome to change it on your own board yourself, but stop pestering me to change it.
