The entrance to Web Wiz's Support Forum says that all posts are moderated. This fearure does not appear in version 8, but i notice that Web Wiz are running version 8 alpha 1. Does this vesion include the moderation? and if so i was wondering when the planned release is for this to be included into the released version?

Thanks for your help

I think you are jumping the gun a bit, version 8 is not yet available.

The latest version available for the public is version 7.8 and does not include moderation of topics before they are displayed.

This feature will be in version 8 when it is released later sometime this summer.

Oh, I was wondering why I couldn't find that feature in my forum! :)  My boss tells me I can't put the forum up on our site until the thread pre-moderation feature is available, so I guess I'll have to sit on my hands for now.  Hope you're able to get it done before "later this summer"!

Thanks,
Drew

Count me in too, I am very interested in moderated forums! I was already searching for this feature, but couldn't find it in my settings. Now I see why.

Good luck in developing the new version!!!

I'm looking for a forum and from what I can tell this is the one to get. However, I need the post moderation. It looks like 7.9 is the only one available for download and version 8 never made it last summer. Any chance of getting the alpha version that has that feature? I'm a software tester/programmer and would be glad to report any problems I find.
Thanks,
Jeff

Sorry I didn't catch that post earlier and really sorry that the alpha can't be downloaded. Looks like it's going to be awhile still so I guess I'm forced to move on to Snitz which has the post moderation. Cry

I'll have a look at Snitz too as I also need to preview posts before they go public.

You can spend 2 hours modify the current WWF to put the moderator thing in. I've done mine http://forum.khmer.ws - http://forum.khmer.ws

Only problem with modifying it yourself is, it becomes a management nightmare once version 8 is released then...

You have to keep track of what changes you make etc, and make them again if you install a later official version....

I myself need post moderation badly - and I'm hoping version 8 comes out sooner than later - as I am planning on purchasing with that version.

But for now, I have to live without it. I don't want to code it myself just because of the problems I'll have when version 8 does come out.
