How do you set-up recordset paging like this:

http://www.dmxzone.com/index.asp?TypeId=25&CatId=661 - http://www.dmxzone.com/index.asp?TypeId=25&CatId=661

Cheerz :)

Depends on if your using ADO (Access) or MS SQL. In MS SQL, you'd use a stored procedure. The basic concept is

  1. count the total number of rows
  2. Divide it by the number of links you want
  3. Construct the links to pass start/stop numbers - or start roww/numbsr of records to retrieve - to a page that invokes the db through whatever method your DB supports, and formats the output.

Away from my code right now, so can'ts grab an example. Try asp101 or aspfaq. It's the kind of thing they would have examples for.
