hello

i have a basic question iim using the IIS in my copmuter ,i will want to combine en e mail object ,third part component ,can i do so ?(im using the internel server).

Yes. Most component vendors (aspemail, aspmail, jmail, etc.) offer versions of their smtp components for personnal/developer use on their pc's. Depending upon which version of windows you are running, you already have cdonts/cdosys.

On the pop side, vendors usually charge something. Their are free pop components you can locate at places like aspin.com, sourceforge, etc. If you don't need to read the email from within your application, you could just use outlook to pull email in from localhost.
