Hi

We have a project at school were I am going to find out how the Internet has developed over the last 10-15 years. Do any of you have a link to somewhere I can find something about it?

Look for documents on how the US Military developed it for communication purposes...

You might want to search for arpanet (sometimes spelled aarpanet). Biggest impediment to early growth was reluctance on the part of mainframe shops to consider TCP/IP as a "real" protocol because of it's stateless nature and lack of error recovery.

When a graphical browser capable of displaying pictures was introduced in 92/93 the net took off.

Untrue, it was developed my Universities to "communicate". Well maybe the Military had something similar but if I remember correctly it was more of a BBS system.
