Subject: Error:Unable to open first record!

I have been working on this s/w project which is supposed to accept data from the user and print it out onto ptre-printed forms.I have used VB frontend,CR7 for printing report,Access back end to temporarily store the data before transferring to CR.

Everything worked fine on the project. After compiling it and making it into a package I installed it in  my own PC and when I ran it I got this error:

"UNABLE TO OPEN FIRST RECORD!"

I went back and tried to run the original VB project file.IT ran just fine and gave the correct output too.

What could have gone wrong here?

Can anyone help me please?I am desperate for an answer.

Someone please help.I have tried all sorts of things on the  code. The data is being entered into the db correctly before it is transferred to the CR.

I don't know where the error is coming up from.

If you created a .mde file, did you recreate the links to the db when you moved the executeable?

Do you have the access runtime and cr7 installed on the pc you moved it to?

I have included the DB in the package as well. And it has been correctly installed into the same folder containing the Project CAB file.I had just given this code on the Form_Load() to set the path:

Set datastore = OpenDatabase("delidata.mdb")

The thing works fine on the project file.Only when I make it into a EXE does the error come up.

Sorry about the post earlier post.I was getting so depressed, more so since I didn't think I was going to come up against something like this with something so easy.
