You can already setup the forum so only certain member groups can have access to it, simply make it so the guest account can't have access to that forum.

Is there a way to change the default Generic Forum Permissions for all of them at once, without having to go into each topic?

ver7 beta 3 - I have set the permissions for the forums, but unfortunantly, the forums are still listed. I would like to hide the forums titles altogether if access is not permitted. Like wise, if they are not registered I simply want to redirect them to the login page. (If I put some code in the common page to check if registered, then access to the signup pages and the like are not accessible.)

On v7 you can set it to hide the forums if the user has no access, take a closer look at the admin section and you'll find that option, if you want it to redirect to the login page if the user is not registered add this line:

<% If blnGuest Then Response.Redirect "login_user.asp" %>

on default.asp right next to:

<!--#include file="common.asp" -->

Awesome, I knew this had to be in there somewhere! Thank you fernan82! As far as the code is concerned, this works great for the default page, and as long as I have the forums set to registered user, you can't hack the url! thank you very much!
