Hello All,

I am using WWF on our Intranet and I would like to not allow anyone to register.  I figured that out, but I would like to enter all the members and have an email sent to them containing their username and password, just as if they had registered.

I tried entering new members from the admin section, but it does not send them an email address.  Any ideas on how to overcome this?  Am I just missing a setting?

Thanks,

Adam

An activation email will only be sent if a user signs up from the main forum and email activation is enabled.

This won't happen if the admin registers a new user from the admin area, the user will automactically be added and no email sent.

Is there any modifications that I can make to have this happen?  I can't let everyone just register themselves.  Because this is an intranet/extranet actually we would like only people who have passed our certification to have access to the website.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You could aways just enter them in the admin section yourself with the registration in the main forum disabled. Then manually send the user their username and password in an email.

you can also always mod that yourself pretty simple, just add a little mail handler on the user registration page in the admin menu, should be just a few lines of code to do so....
