I just thought of something. Why doesnt borg phase out the Generic Connection to Microsoft Access and use only the Jet SQL connection.

Jet SQL Connection is much faster than the generic connection and there would be almost no reason to include the generic connection into the next version.

Also using Jet SQL borg could set up complete setup scripts for the WebWizForums. Using CREATE TABLE, the Setup Scripts would be able to create tables and name the Database.

What do you think? I might even write the scripts myself!

you can't set up the complete WWF database like it is now with Access.. unless you find a way to create boolean fields and probably some other things then

the generic access driver is there for those who get problems with the Jet OLEDB Drivers, and if I'm not wrong, the Jet OLEDB Driver is the default, so why bother removing the generic?

I understand there is not to much of a problem in removing the generic driver, its only one or two lines of code to remove.

The main advantage is Jet SQL is faster (This is True). Also the syntax of Jet SQL allows you to do more things than you could with the generic version, there are more functions that could be implimented as the Jet SQL syntax is similar to MySQL.
