When I try to compact the database I get this error

Response object error 'ASP 0157 : 80004005'

Buffering On

/forum/admin/compact_access_db.asp, line 54

Buffering cannot be turned off once it is already turned on.

Any suggestions?

This feature is not compatiable with all servers.

It looks like the server you are using is forcing buffering to be on.

You will need to download the database and do the compact and repair in MS Access, then re-upload the database.
