I am thinking of running mozilla firefox as a kiosk. However:
However how can you disable keyboard shortcuts? |

I think the source is available for it. Haven't looked but check http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.9.1/contrib/ - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.9. 1/contrib/ for a source version.

Since you have a closed system, it's all up to you. Use whatever suits your purposes best. FireFox is a nice choice.

If you're running a kiosk, think about designing the site to be keyboardless. In linux, you can route keystrokes to /dev/null. You don't need a keyboard to boot the system. Try password protecting a directory that onyy contains the exit page - or perhaps an admin menu that allows enabling keyboard, exit, etc.. -------------
