Hi, I have Web Wiz Forums for SQL Server v7.7a, and have a minor but annoying problem.

When the Notify email is sent out, the forum_posts.asp url looks OK (i.e. the URL Text shows the correct address), but the actual hyperlink incorrectly links to "forum_postasp" (without the full stop/period) - see the example below - clicking the link will try to link to forum_postasp.

I have looked at the post_message.asp, "Update Email Notify" code, but it looks to me like the URL is being built correctly, so the problem must be elswhere. Has anyone else seen this problem?

The clients PC's are using MS Exchange Outlook 2000 to 2003 with all security updates.

This is a bug with the CDONTS email component, for some reason in long links it seems to drop dots at around the 72nd character.

Try using a different email component, or if you can, shortern the link to the forum by placing it in a different location on your site.

Wow, thanks for the fast reply! I swapped to CDOSYS, and got around the problem.
