I'm a bit lost with this, I'm sure I just missing a detail somewhere along the line but I've been round and round.

I have a forum where I only want to allow 3 of my registered users to post new topics.

I set it up so "private" groups only can post.

I created a user group and put them all in it.

Now how do I designate that user group as the group that is allowed to post?

Any help is appreciated.

hi,

when you created the group there where settings with checkboxs, if you now go to the group permssions menu and select the group you created ( the one that allows the 3 users to post).

now you have a simular/same screen as the one when creating the group if you check the box next to post new topics . you know need to set which forums this setting applies to , click the box next to the forum name you want to only allow the 3 users to post new topics in.

then submit that. now the users in that group can post new topics in the forum you applied the setting to.
