Just got a letter from bt broadband 1mb saying:

Great news BT Broadband 1mb Price cut to £28.99 from the 1st July 2004. But we will be introducing a usage allowance, letting you transfer up to 30gb a month starting early 2005

What is that all about i still have 9 months left on my 12 month contract i am stuffed i think.... thats 1gb a day i can use that in 3-4 hours easy, anyone know of a good ISP?

I'm getting 1024k/256k ADSL in a month, with no transfer limit!

It's about $60 US a month though and it's actually cheap here in Norway

The Uk has always been behind interms of ADSL rollout connection speeds etc etc so whats BTs solution too all this kick there customers in the teeth. When i lived in Bristol i was on a cable connection which was very good then moved to cornwall and all we have down here is ADSL in a few of the major towns. Will take a look at NTL though......

Your area has to be cabled by NTL though, you can check here http://sales.ntl.com/newdesign/newindex.jsp?new=Y&cust=ntlhome_intbroadband600 - http://sales.ntl.com/newdesign/newindex.jsp?new=Y&cust=n tlhome_intbroadband600

Man...

You don't even want to know what broadband is like in Korea... So I'm gonna let you know anyways.. hehehe

10 up and down for less than whatever you are paying now - and that's SLOW!

You can get 50 MBps here for consumer rates. Bandwidth is like toilet paper here. Cheap cheap cheap.

But when you talk about latency... then its about 300~500ms to the US and about 400~500 ms to Europe. That sucks a bit, but inside the country - insanely fast.

Oh, and for piracy - that's totally rampant and ex-government companies are 100% complicent with it. Sick actually. Movies are the big thing.
