I like Outlook 2003, but I would like to be able to receive and send attachments including access databases. Do you know how I can enable my Outlook 2003 to allow me do this?

Thanks,
Misty

Outlook sucks so badly that I only use it when I absolutely have to. If anyone can name a worse email client, please list it...

As for your Q... it doesn't matter to Outlook. You can receive anything with it by default.

I cannot send certain attachments like Access databases. I cannot find the option on Outlook 2003 to let me send attachments. It blocks attachments. Does anyone know?

Try using Eudora or Mozilla Thunderbird, they are much better email clients and both are free.

Alternativly you could just zip up the access database before you attach it to an email.

The size would also shrink allot with an access database once it is zipped.

As boRg stated, zipping them will probably solve your problem.  I'm guessing that your mail server probably has access file types (.mdb) blocked because of security risks.  Try zipping it and let us know if that works.

Doing a google for "Outlook Hacks mdb" turned up http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm - http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm

Outlook 2003 (Not Outlook Express) locked down a lot of stuff. On the upside, it's spam blocking stuff is great.
