I want to upgrade my forum as from version 7.01 (Access) to 7.9 (MS SQL Server).
I know that upgrading using access is straightforward but what exactly is involved in the DB type change? Im also going to change host (not happy with the current host) - is it likely that they will be able to convert the data from Access to MS SQL (~75Mb)?

Once the data is copied to the new DB, is the only thing left to do (besides testing), a switch of the connection strings in common.asp?

Lastly, any affordable & reliable hosts for this?

Basic Qs, I know but I want the conversion to be smooth.
