For too many reasons I am trying to migrate my self to using the Firefox browser.

The issue I am having with both my wwForm and this one is logging in.  I keep getting a cookie error.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I actually can login but when I try to goto the Admin section I get the permission denied

I thought it someone hacked my site so i downloaded the .mdb and reset the Admin password and the re-uploaded the .mdb.  I then was able to login using Firefox but when I closed the browser and re-opened it I could login at all!!

The Firefox forums are saying it may be a JavaScript issue.

There should not be an issue using Firefox.

I use Firefox as my default browser so the forum is tested in Firefox more then any other browser.

Cookie issues are often coursed by the way your site is connected to eg. IP masking, domain masking, forwarding etc.

Browsers can not read in cookies set by other sites, so often if you are using any things like I mention before the browser often sees the cookie as being set by another site.

Firefox has a good tool for viewing your stored cookies so checking the cookie is stored correctly in Firefox should be quite simple.

Also if you changed the cookie name in the main form but did not change it in the admin section you will not be able to log in to the admin section automatally. I had this issue as well.

Check both common.asp files have the same cookie name.

I had an issue with firefox when i first started using the forum. What i worked it out to be is when you have auto login (name/password) stored in the browser, it also stores the hidden session id in the form.

What i did to solve it was delete all cache/history/cookies/form data/etc and then said "never for this site" when firefox prompts to ask for saving your password.

I have experienced a similar problem with FireFox.
At this forum, I have no trouble logging in, but at my own forum there is no way for me to login using FireFox.
In IE it works flawlessly...
I've tried deleting all cookies set by my site, removing any stored passwords and even changing the cookie name in common.asp...
All I get is: Successful login. But I never get logged on.

Judging by the injected charcaters at the end of your post it looks like you have some software running on your machine like Norton INS or firewall that injects code into page to prevent things like pop-up adds, etc.

Try disabling any sofware like this you have running on your machine and see if that helps.

Yes, it's an ad-remover.
I've already disabled it for my forum. Doesn't help.
As you noticed, it was turned on for your site and there the login works.

Maybe the thing to do then is have a look and see if Firefox is storing a cookie for your site when you login and check the domain is the same for the cookie.

A ggod Firefox extension is the Web Developer by Chris Penderik.

It allows you to view info like cookie data for that particular page as well as loads of other useful features.

I have similar problems with Firefox. The login is automatic as administrator but after I cannot logout.

In IE the system don't recognizes me when I click on Administrator although I am already log in.
