Can someone please help me with these problems? Windows messenger 5.0 will allow you to connect to different types of servers: 1/ The .net messenging service is obviously msn blah blah blah. 2/ What is SIP communications service? Can I get one of these servers either offical/third party for free? 3/ What is exchange messaging service? Can I get one of these servers either offical/third party for free? |

SIP is the Session Initiation Protocol and is basically AFAIK the underlying Protocol of Voice over IP. I don't know of a lot of servers myself but I could imagine they are mostly professional ones like Cisco IP gateways and such.
