There are a few asp.net forums.

You could try out the beta version of asp.net forums 2.0 at http://forum.asp.net - http://forum.asp.net (this is not complete yet)

Or you could use Yetanotherforum.net ( http://www.yetanotherforum.net - http://www.yetanotherforum.net ) you can see a demo at http://devjunkies.com/forum.aspx - http://devjunkies.com/forum.aspx

There is asp.net forums 1.0 availiable at http://www.asp.net - http://www.asp.net in the source projects section

If you fancy spending some money take a look at http://www.instantforum.net - http://www.instantforum.net

Those are all the half decent ones.

To answer your question, borg has said that he MAY port this forum to .net but considering a lurning curve to re-write something like this into .net it may take a while. The Gold release of community server forums (former asp.net Forums) at communityserver.org is very powerful, thus it seems to become commercialized through Tellingent. Like Mart mentioned the other ones are all good but make sure you know how you want to integrate it into your site before picking one, check out their dataprovider and security class if you are gonna be able to use some of those methods.

In terms of features, capability, and reliability though, this forum is ahead of the .net forums - IMHO.

You might want to thing about using it within your .net site.

I am not sure if the asp.net forums are really behind in features, both have some unique features. Personally I would not start a asp site anymore, and if you have an asp.net site it would be somewhat pointless to have an asp forum.

ASP.NET also does not interoperate well with ASP. It would be quite hard to integrate this forum into a asp.net site.
