In effort to make a collection of interesting or well laid out web pages (by design, not content), what are your favorite site? I would stray away from Flash, but it's up to you.

http://www.htmlguru.com - http://www.htmlguru.com  - very cool - the previous version was even cooler as it was pure html 3.2 and DHTML with fantastic effects

I'll second A List Apart. Very good.

CSSZenGarden is one of my top picks also.

I can't get excited about htmlguru though. Sure, it's all html, but it just doesn't "do it" for me. Technically it may be good, but since we're talking about design, it falls in a heap.

If you remember the old HTMLGuru site, it was really well done. The design was spectacular. Similar was the old hackers.com site. It was really slick. Check them out on the internet archives to see the way they used to be. Here's an old hackers.com page - slick:

I like this page: http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/wizard.asp - http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/wizard.asp

That is very cool. Worth a bookmark. Especially for those of us that program well but suck at design.
