Hi

Im currently running Access version of WWF. And because of constant slowdowns especially in the evening I checked the database it has reached 10MB. And constantly there are simultanious 10-20 connections in the evening. I would like to migrate to SQL. My question are

How do I go about moving the information in access database to sql database?
How do I set it up with my hosts?
Is there a migrating script or something like that ?

And

YES I have searched the forums and didnt find a suitable scenario to work upon.
YES my host supports mySQL and SQL Server.

My current forum is generated within 0.2 seconds with 6 ppl in it. But when night comes I get all this complaints filling up my mailbox. Im feeling abit frustrated. Please assist. Thanks a mil

Moving to MS SQL Server is not a simple process.

You will have to contact your hosts and findout from them how to setup an MS SQL Server Database as each host has a different system.

Once the database is setup you need to download and install the MS SQL Server version and run the MS SQL Server Setup file to create the database and all the stored procedures on the MS SQL Server.

Then you need to find someway of exporting the data into the MS SQL Server database.

You could try using the Upsize tool in Access to do this, but it may require that you delete all the table on the SQL Server first (not the stored procedures).
