Enjoy!!

how exactly does it work?  Isn't excel 'single user only?'  Meaning that it won't handle more than 1 simultaneous user.

His readme is fairly detailed, it's not supposed a hit me app, it's a one time process to import users.

So, the function of this is to allow you to use a spreadsheet to mass add users to your database?

Does anyone have an archived copy of this tool? I need to import some users, and the getSalt, Hashencode, etc. is way over my head. I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks

Hi Hawk

This is all I have left of the uploader now, not sure of the version etc etc.

From what I remember it was designed to work with the webWiz from inside the EZA portal, so the paths may need to be amended.

However, it's pretty straight forward:

Thanks, Rudster. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck. It keeps giving me subscript errors on various lines. Cry  Thanks anyway, though.

Hi Rudster!

Nice job on the uploading script, except I only get this small error:

********************

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e2f'

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Attach_signature', table 'forum.dbo.tblAuthor'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

/forum/admin/upload_members.asp, line 372

********************

And I believe it's because you don't have the "Attach_signature" field in the excel to be filled with a boolean variable. Consequently you also don't allow for this value to be considered in your script... see what I mean?

Please help me overcome this for I would very much like to upload 4000 members to the forum. Tongue

Cheers!

EC
