the users password from his panel.

2)it would be good if the mod will be in the old way of if the forum will write each mod in the index.

In version 7 passwords can't be retrieved as they are 160bit one way encrypted, meaning that to get the password back you would have to spend around 1000 years cracking the encryption.

If someone forgets the password you click on the link to create a new one, there is no way to retrieve the old one unless you have a hubby in the NSA or so.

Use the link "Forgot Password" in the login :)

enforce your users to register with email, then your problem is gone

If you don't have email, then a moderator or forum admin will have to be contacted who can then use edit profile to change the password to a new one for the user.

if email functions are off will it stop people being able to try to get a new password, cos otherwise i think it'll look v-bad for the owner not to be answering
