Can anyone guide me to the simplest and cheapest method to compile a time-lapse movie from a webcam.

Here's the hitch, I'm running windows 98.

Thanks in advance

Lenny

What's the source format? Pictures? Video? How long?

If it's from pictures, it's even easier, you can select say 1 in every 20 pictures and add that to the timeline.

As for software, I only use non-linear editing (Premier and VideoStudio) but there must be free progs for this task out there that will simplify and automate the whole process.

As an example:

On XP you can download Timershot (a powertoy for XP) which will take an image per specified time period. However this only works in XP. I need one for windows 98.

Compiling the images into, say, an AVI file is no problem, there are numerous apps for that.

So - is there an application which will allow a windows 98 user with a webcam to take images at specified intervals?

Ta

Lenny
