I have an online trading account that i use to trade currencies with and i want to be able to get the data form my account and save it to a database so i can do futher analysis.

Is it possible to use ASP to access the page then log in and pass the date  parameters to the page and retrieve the data?

I recall someone doing a similar thing with ASP/XML???

This link may help you http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?T ID=8844&KW=XMLHTTP but what you want to do sounds too complex, to do that you will have to handle cookies post headers etc.
It is doable though

That's helps but now i have a problem as the other page is a pearl script and it does not have a form tag in it.

I have tried passing the paramertes as but it just comes back saying no parameters have been passed.

Is there anyway around this?

Shouldn't matter about it being a cgi as long as it's a url. Try POST instead of GET or vice versa. Like mart said though, you may have to mung the headers and/or cookies. Goolge for XMLHTTP or ServerXMLHTTP - similar but use different ip stacks.

EDIT: - Almost forgot... I have an example of this at http://new2asp.com/Section_Files/PullStrings/xmlhttp.asp - http://new2asp.com/Section_Files/PullStrings/xmlhttp.asp

Interesting. I didn't realize that you needed to use ServerXMLHTTP for ssl.
