Hello. First of all. very easy installation as these types of applications go guys. bravo.

I keep getting this one error on my xp box:

Cookies and Javascript must be enabled on your web browser in order to use this forum.

Yet:

1) I have set all internet options to LOW. I have allowed all cookies in the privacy section.

2) I am using the sun java console / app on the pc in question. Could this be the cause? Obviously i can post messages on this computer (different PC).

3) when I connect to the forum from this computer to my newly installed forum and log in, I still get the same error. So i am officially confused. This tells me that it is configuration related nO?

any clues?

tks

William

For security reasons browser can only read in cookies from sites that set them.

This means that if you use things like IP or domain masking, frames, domain forwarding, etc. often browsers will have problems setting and reading back in cookies from your site.

The problem is solved. Much simpler than i thought and as things normally go, it got solved just after posting. heheh.

THe problem was that I didnt have the categories setup in the topics. Once I did that then all was cool. So what looked like a cookie /javascript problem wasnt really a problem at all.

I would suggest to  ppl that if they can post on this forum, then t is not cookie / js related. Hope this help and thanks for what looks like an awesome bbs.
