assign permissions via sql statement

WHen my customers ourchase my softwar eI wouls like to automatically assign then a username in my forums and also give them permissions to the area of the forum for the software product they purchased

currently I am doing this manually and that is a pain in the butt.

I can add a user no problem but Havent had time to lookin into how permissions for a particular forum area are set..

Has anyone worked with this yet and maybe have some code to save me some time..

Your best bet is to look through the register.asp file and use parts of the code from that in your own code to register a user on the forum when they purchase your software.
