First I've got to vent a little that it is amazes me to no end how much work was put into designing this stuff with massive amounts of code yet fail miserably when it comes to simple installation instructions.  Now for my issue using install instructions, I have uploaded everything and edited the sql server stuff which will probably be wrong, in any case

instruction 7....how do I run this file? from a browser?

instruction 9. point browser to where?,forum folder or which asp file?

7. Run the file 'msSQL_server_setup.asp' found in the main folder of the Forum. This file will create all the tables, relations, and default values in the empty database you have created on the SQL Server. It is highly recommend for security purposes that you delete this file from the Web Server once the database is fully created.

8.The Forum database should now be created and you can now use the Forum.

9.Once all the files are uploaded and the database created on the SQL Server point your web browser to the location on your web space where you uploaded the forum to.

To start with I build, design, and run all this site on my own.

The problem then is that I know to much knowledge on how the system works to write intsall instructions really well that novice users will fully understand.

I have asked on this forum if people could help out by writting the install instructions for the web wiz forums as it would be much better as those people then wouldn't have the inside knowledge of the system that I have and therefore would be more undertandable for a novice user.

However, no-one offered to help and so it was left to me, AGAIN, to write the install instructions myself.

Now, my rant is over, onto your questions.

You run the msSQL_server_setup.asp file in your web browser

Once everything is setup point your browser either to just the forum folder, or the the default.asp file found inside your forum folder.

Thank you for the response and I understand your situation a little better.  I was just frustrated as I have spent days trying to get various board systems to work and all of them have had problems at some level tragic to a novice user except for one by invision.....A feature I need is pending before I can make a purchase.

I need a board with an attachment function for the avatars so that it will not encrypt/change the file name to the target folder and overwrite the previous image of same name.

My users will be using their housenumber.gif every time they change the avatar. This is so that the avatar will also be changed on another page on the site.  I will provide the link of my project so you may get a better understanding.  If it catches on it could be a revenue stream for you too.  Thanks for your help and lets move past my server side  ignorance.
