 Hello there,

This is the last report i am getting while trying to upload a imagefile.

Server object error 'ASP 0178 : 80070005'

Server.CreateObject Access Error

/Forum/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 288

The call to Server.CreateObject failed while checking permissions. Access is denied to this object.

I have checked all the rights, the path's and in the admin everything is oke.
My webserver supports asp and Frontpage Extensions.
IT WORKED!!

I have deinstalled and installed aspupload but it doesn't work anymore, and everything went fine.
Is there a quota limit or something?

Jallie

Your problem is a permissions problem to do with the VBscript runtime file.

A quick search on google for Server.CreateObject Access Error turned up the following Microsoft article on this permssions issue:-

I have gotten this identical error message.  I went to the MS link provided above, and it mentions changing the permissions for Msvbvm60.dll on the server, but I did a search and I don't even have this file on the server (IIS 6.0).  Please help.

Anyway what windows you use?

Try to find Msvbvm60.dll in windows/system32 folder and add everyone in the permision list, check full access.

I'm also having the same problem. I have tried all the above suggestions but none seem to work!

The worrying thing is, my hosting company use the webwiz forum and assure me that I should have no problems with the aspSmartUpload component as they use it themselves!

Do I need to upload a specific file once I have changed permissions to the upload folder or Msvbvm60.dll?

I'm running out of ideas fast! Tongue

I'm sure I am using the right path to the upload folder.... it is partially working, as a new folder is created inside the upload folder which is automatically named as my username.... but nothing goes into the folder Cry

Any help would be Great!!!!

Thanks

Craig

The error means that the component is not installed on the server.

It could be a corruption problem, or someone has accidently un-installed the component.

Contact your hosting company with the error message as they will need to investigate further.
